SETTLED is a document preparation and automation platform. SETTLED is not a law firm, does not employ attorneys in a legal capacity, and does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal counsel of any kind.
No attorney-client relationship is created by your use of SETTLED, by any communication with SETTLED, or by any document generated through the SETTLED platform.
The letters and dispute documentation generated by SETTLED are self-help documents built on publicly available federal statutory frameworks — specifically the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and related U.S. consumer protection statutes. They are tools to assist you in exercising your existing federal rights, not legal instruments prepared by counsel.
For legal advice specific to your situation, consult a licensed consumer protection attorney in your jurisdiction.
SETTLED makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee — express or implied — that:
• Any dispute letter will result in the removal of negative credit items • Any collection activity will cease as a result of documents generated through SETTLED • Your credit score will improve by any amount or within any timeframe • Any creditor, bureau, or collector will respond in any particular way
Results from dispute activity depend on the accuracy of your documents, the merits of your dispute, the applicable statutes, and the response of the third party receiving the letter. SETTLED is a precision tool — outcomes are not within SETTLED's control.
Any outcome described in SETTLED's marketing materials, case studies, or educational content represents individual results that are not guaranteed to be typical or replicable in your specific situation.
SETTLED is a document preparation service operating under the same self-help framework available to any consumer under federal law. SETTLED is not a credit repair organization as defined under the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA, 15 U.S.C. § 1679 et seq.) or any substantially similar state statute.
SETTLED does not: • Represent consumers before credit bureaus, lenders, debt collectors, or government agencies • Make decisions about what disputes to file on your behalf • Intervene in any legal or regulatory proceeding on your behalf • Guarantee, promise, or imply any improvement to your credit file
All documents generated through SETTLED are prepared for your personal use. You remain solely responsible for reviewing, personalizing, sending, and following up on all documents.
Required disclosure under 15 U.S.C. § 1679c (Credit Repair Organizations Act):
You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report without the assistance of a credit repair organization.
You may contact a credit reporting agency directly to dispute information in your credit file at no charge. Credit reporting agencies are required to investigate your dispute within 30 days of receiving it (subject to certain exceptions) and must remove information that cannot be verified.
You have a right to obtain a free copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus once every 12 months at AnnualCreditReport.com.
You have a right to sue a credit repair organization that violates the Credit Repair Organizations Act in federal or state court.
SETTLED's document generation system is built on the following federal statutes:
Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.: Governs the collection, dissemination, and use of consumer credit information. Key sections include §611 (dispute procedures), §623 (furnisher responsibilities), §605 (obsolescence), and §616–617 (civil liability).
Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), 15 U.S.C. § 1692 et seq.: Governs the conduct of third-party debt collectors. Key sections include §809 (debt validation), §807 (false or misleading representations), and §808 (unfair practices).
These statutes establish your rights as a consumer. SETTLED's documents are designed to invoke these rights through proper written notice — the legally recognized trigger mechanism under each statute.
SETTLED's documents reference statutes but do not constitute legal analysis of your specific situation. Whether a particular violation applies to your case is a legal determination you should make with the assistance of a licensed attorney if needed.
Documents generated by SETTLED use artificial intelligence (Claude, by Anthropic) to analyze uploaded credit documents and produce dispute letter text. AI-generated content:
• May contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies • Is not reviewed by a licensed attorney before delivery • Must be reviewed and verified by you before use • May require customization to reflect your specific account details
You are responsible for reviewing every generated document before sending it. Do not send any letter containing incorrect personal information, incorrect account numbers, or placeholder text that has not been replaced with accurate data.
SETTLED is not liable for consequences resulting from sending incorrect, incomplete, or inaccurate documents.
SMS notifications from SETTLED are transactional in nature — they relate to your active dispute cases and platform activity. By opting in, you acknowledge:
• Message and data rates may apply based on your carrier plan • SETTLED does not guarantee delivery of any SMS message • Carrier filtering or network issues may delay or prevent delivery • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP
SETTLED is not liable for any damages resulting from delayed, failed, or undelivered SMS notifications.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SETTLED's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform — including document preparation, certified mail, AI analysis, or communications — shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to SETTLED in the 12 months preceding the claim.
SETTLED is not liable for: • Indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages • Lost profits, lost data, or business interruption • Outcomes of dispute letters including bureau responses, credit score changes, or collection activity • USPS delivery failures or delays • Third-party service interruptions (Stripe, Twilio, Resend, Lob, Anthropic)
