SETTLED is a document preparation and automation service. SETTLED is not a law firm. SETTLED does not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal counsel. The letters and documents generated by SETTLED are for informational and document preparation purposes only.
No attorney-client relationship is formed by your use of SETTLED. Letters and documents generated by SETTLED are built on FCRA, FDCPA, and other federal statutory frameworks as a self-help tool — they are not reviewed by an attorney for your specific situation and do not constitute legal advice.
For advice specific to your legal situation, consult a licensed consumer protection attorney in your jurisdiction.
You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the United States to use SETTLED. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and current.
SETTLED uses passwordless magic link authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account, as it controls access to your SETTLED account. Notify us immediately at intake@settled.support if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not share your account, sell access, or use SETTLED to prepare documents on behalf of others for compensation without explicit written authorization.
By providing your phone number and opting in through any SETTLED form, you consent to receive SMS notifications from SETTLED including case status updates, USPS tracking confirmations, and investigation alerts.
Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by case activity.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any SMS. One confirmation will be sent, then no further messages. To get help: Reply HELP or email intake@settled.support.
SETTLED uses Twilio to deliver SMS messages. Your phone number is not sold or shared with third parties beyond what is necessary for message delivery.
One Scan ($29) is a one-time purchase. Monthly ($49/month) and Business Tiers ($99/month) are recurring subscriptions billed monthly until cancelled.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you authorize the applicable charge to your payment method.
Refunds: Because SETTLED generates documents immediately upon payment, all sales are final once letter generation has been initiated. If a technical failure prevents letter delivery, contact intake@settled.support within 7 days and we will either re-process or issue a refund at our discretion.
Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued.
You retain ownership of all documents you upload to SETTLED. By uploading, you grant SETTLED a limited license to process, store, and analyze your documents for the purpose of providing the service.
SETTLED stores uploaded documents in Vercel Blob (US-based) and analysis results in a US-based PostgreSQL database. Documents are used solely to generate your dispute letters and are not sold, shared with third parties, or used to train AI models.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any document you submit to SETTLED.
SETTLED uses AI to analyze documents and generate letters based on FCRA, FDCPA, and federal statutory frameworks. AI output is not infallible. You are responsible for reviewing every letter before sending it. Fill in all bracketed placeholders with accurate information. Do not mail a letter containing incorrect account numbers, dates, or personal information.
SETTLED makes no guarantee that dispute letters will result in the removal of negative credit items, cessation of collection activity, or any specific outcome. Results depend on the accuracy of your documents, the merits of your dispute, and the response of the bureau or collector.
SETTLED's Certified Mail service is provided through Lob, Inc., which partners with USPS. SETTLED is not responsible for USPS delivery failures, returned mail, or tracking delays. Once a letter is submitted to Lob for mailing, it cannot be cancelled or recalled.
You are responsible for providing accurate mailing addresses. SETTLED will not issue refunds for mail sent to incorrect addresses provided by you.
You may not use SETTLED to: • Prepare dispute letters on behalf of third parties for compensation (credit repair services require state licensing) • Submit false, fabricated, or fraudulent dispute information • Violate any applicable federal or state law • Circumvent, reverse-engineer, or attempt to access systems beyond your authorized use • Harass, threaten, or defame any creditor, collector, or bureau through letters prepared using SETTLED
Violation of these prohibitions will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
The SETTLED platform, design, software, prompts, and generated templates are the intellectual property of SETTLED. Generated letters, once produced using your uploaded documents, are your property for personal use.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialize SETTLED's platform, templates, or methodology without written permission.
SETTLED is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any generated letter will achieve a specific legal outcome.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SETTLED's aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to SETTLED in the 12 months preceding the claim. SETTLED is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
SETTLED is a document preparation platform, not a credit repair organization as defined under the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act (15 U.S.C. § 1679 et seq.) or any substantially similar state law. SETTLED does not represent you before any credit bureau, debt collector, lender, servicer, or government agency.
Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law (required disclosure under 15 U.S.C. § 1679c): You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report without the help of a credit repair organization. You have a right to obtain a free copy of your credit report from AnnualCreditReport.com. You have a right to sue a credit repair organization that violates the Credit Repair Organizations Act.
SETTLED does not promise to improve your credit score, remove any item from your credit report, or achieve any specific legal outcome. No guarantee of results is made or implied.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of SETTLED after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
